Default Re: Anybody else have problems with SDPC?

I ordered a 383 kit from them for my 72 nova a couple of years ago. recieved it in a week or so. Took it to the machine shop and when the guy put the number one piston in and brought it up to tdc it stuck way out of the bore! After two days of calling them I finally talked to someone that was willing to help. Said "sorry for the mix up, we'll sed the right set out asap" After 3 weeks and half a dozen not so nice calls, I finally get the right pistons. But, these are a short skirt, light weight piston and the other ones werent, which is a problem because the rotating assy. was balanced with the heavy pistons. Call them back and the guy tells me it doesnt make any difference! My machinist tells me if I want my motor to live at the rpm I'm going to turn it I better get it balanced again. That cost me $150 I shouldnt have had to spend.
Burn me once shame on you.....burn me twice shame on me

I feel better now <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
