Thumbs down Not happy with Speed Engineering and Kooks

I ordered a set of Kooks Race 1 7/8 SS header and Y-pipe from Speed Engineering at the beggining of Sept.

Finally got them and the drivers side has the air fitting and the passager side is the race version like I order WTF.

I call Speed Engineering talk to Sean, he tells me thats wierd and gives me the # to Kooks direct, I talk to George at Kooks and ends up giving me 2 options.

#1 he sends me a block off plate for the driving side hearder which was the wrong header.

Or

#2 I pay to ship it back and they'll send me another one, guys I in Hawaii and already paid out the *** for shipping to get here.

I'm sorry but If Thunder Racing or MTI did something like this the would have taken care of it already.

I contacted Speed Engineering and Kooks on Oct 10th, I let them know my wife was going into the hopspital to induce labor, my wife and I just got home today, my son is still in the hospital do to complications

I not very ******* happy right now and neither of these ******* have gotten back to me about ****.

I just went through a stint like this with my son. Having him in the ICU and you at home can be extremley frustrating. Try not to intermingle the 2 diffrent problems cause you'll just end up giving yourself a nervous breakdown. When you have time to wind down, I'd give Speed Engineering a call and let them know that they are the ones who ordered the product for you. They can contact Kooks and decide who was at fault. Whether it be them of Kooks, you shouldn't have to pay for anything.

I agree. Either Speed Engineering and/or Kooks needs to make this right. Sounds like **** poor customer service on both their parts so far.

Thats bullshit. You shouldn't have to pay for anything. And if they had really good customer support like some of the other sponsors they would have the right parts on the way for you right now and pay for the shipping of both sets of headers. JMHO.

i ordered my headers from speed engineering also, and i can honestly say it's the last time i will order anything from them. sean told me that my specific set of 1 7/8-2" headers were the VERY last set that they shipped out and that was thursday. he told me he would email me a tracking # when they shipped and i still havn't gotten anything. very unhappy with the service. if mine show up wrong i'm betting speed engineering will be paying the shipping back to Kooks.

Andrew, I seen the headers you ordered for me, and frankly, I stand behind my pm to Sean (although I misspelled his name, sorry guy!), which is right here:

ATTN: Shawn
Shawn, this is Charles, and I am requesting that the Kooks Headers sent to my brother Andrew Ganeko (Drew778 on here) get fixed. Andrew bought these headers for me, and when they arrived, there is one Emissions and one Race, both should be Race headers, 1 7/8" primary 3" collector. My brother contacted you, and was basically told to contact Kooks. Of course he called Kooks and they said:
1) Should have called you!
2) They can send out a block off plate kit OR "ship them back, and when a set is ready they'll send it"!
My brother and I support this site, your business, as well as Kooks very heavily. There shouldn't be an Fbody owner here that doesn't know of us. We have been modding Fbodies in Hawaii, to include helping the outer islands, for about three plus years. For me to hear from the Manufacturer that they will send a fricken block off plate is out of line! I can understand your Company asking Andrew to call Kooks, maybe they have dealt with this before etc..
As the end customer, what I expect is to have a correct, Drivers side, 1 7/8" x 3" SS RACE HEADER drop shipped with a Call Tag attached to pick up the Mistakenly sent Emissions Drivers side header. The parts are paid for, the shipping was paid for, and I am quite sure you know that shipping to Hawaii is not cheap! This should not be on my brother, or myself to correct. Do what you have to do with Kooks, but my brother and I expect nothing short of what I reuqested, a Drivers side Race Header sent with a call tag to send you back the Emissions version. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Andrew, you already have his contact info, or myself @ 808-277-7246. Thank you.

Of course I have got ZERO repsonse from the pm, sent on 10 Oct @ 6:56 pm. Enough time for a ******* response and then some. YoungB has contacted me around the clock about a simple question on an order and thats the kind of service I'd expect from any sponsor.

Thats some bullshit. They should have done just that, drop shipped the correct header and had a return shipping tag.

If you guys need any help getting this straightened out give me a shout.

Thumbs down

Kooks screwed up the order and now should pay all the shipping costs.

I would want exactly what I ordered also, and Kooks or Speed Enginering needs to step up and get the matter resolved quickly.

I wasn't able to give them a call yesterday, a little too busy cramming for finals. I'm going to try and give them a call today during one of my breaks @ work. I'll post up as soon as I get in touch with them.

Guys the last thing we want to you to have is a bad customer service experience. Cat3 I talked to you a few times. Last i had heard George was shipping a header couple day air to you with a return label. This was last week. He also said that he was going to call you and inform you of the procedure for the return. We have not heard anything else from you or Kooks. We also never said we would not help you out. Our second conversation i told you kooks wanted you to ship the header back. I agreed with you in saying that i didn't feel it was right and i was going to find out what can be done. I thought everything was taken care of. Apparently not.

Just to inform others we tried to drop ship the entire order, but Kooks would not let us with that volume of an order. So we were forced to have everything shipped here. Which you can imagined cost us a lot of additional money. If you are interested in a tracking number please just pick up the phone and give us a call. We don't have any ones email to send out tracking numbers to. So feel free to contact us. Please let us know if you have any inquires we will try and help you the best we can. These type of posts destroy our company's appearance dramatically. So please let us know first.

Thanks

Sean,
I never spoke with you personally, that was my bro Andrew (Drew778). He ordered the headers and Y pipe for me and informed me of what was up. At the time, his son had not been forced out through labor/emergency cesarian, so he thought he had time to try and make this good for me. Obviously he has been in the hospital since, last week Monday, 11 Oct, only stopping home for about 4 hrs of rest and back to the hospital. If you tried calling him, he mostly wont get it, he doesnt get my calls either, just focusing on his newborn son, Rylan, who's been piped with tubes and what not since the E-Cesarian removal. I will try and get him to post up if he has any contact with Kooks, through phone, or pm's, but as of Sunday night, he had not been contacted, and no messages to such. I appreicate your answering here and hopefully the correct header will be sent, worng returned and all will be happy in the funny farm again. Thank you.

Charlie
