No it would be a good thing if the thread went away.

I'm sure Dalton and Jose both got a fair amount of biz from the site over the last couple of years, not sure why Dalton is being so weird. Oh well. We have over 125 total sponsors so we only deal with these kinds of problems once or twice a year if at all.

But the big diff between other products mentioned on this board (like TTi example) is that multiple PAYING venders on this board carry/sell their products.

Yeah i liked the point about not paying your server for the bandwith .... what do they do? They shut you down. Plain and simple. Dont pay your credit card bill or your mortgage and see what they do. They start repossesing stuff. So pay your bill and u get the the advertising and track results and dyno numbers of the company that u built right ? Sound easy enough to me.
Edit: I know this is a few days old but it looks like this is still a sticky so nothing has been resolved right ?

If you guys have read this thread, the RIGHT story has been posted. Here is a short version:

1. PTK signed on as a sponsor around 2 years ago. They mailed us a check for the first three months, at normal rates.
2. Somehow, PTK didn't get listed on our invoicing records, so they weren't charged after the initial check.
3. PTK has had a banner up on the site, with Jose and Dalton acting as site representatives, selling systems and parts for over 2 years.
4. Dalton asked us to change the banner to PTS about 6 months ago.
5. We discovered they had not paid us in years (at $125/month x 24 months)
6. Dalton made up an excuse that he thought advertising was free if he offered us discounted parts. See item #1 above, because this proves that excuse wrong.
7. John or myself have never bought parts from PTK/PTS. Discounted pricing on zero sales?
8. We asked for at least the last 6 months paid, from the time Dalton asked us to change the banner to PTS. He claims it isn't in his budget.

Yes, the situation is screwed up. We dropped the ball with the invoicing system and not having them listed. PTS played dumb by thinking advertising was free. We waived nearly 18 months of advertising. We only asked for the last 6 months to be paid, knowing very well that PTK/PTS have sold thousands through this site.

So now, we feel screwed and this post is stuck at the top of the forum. I think we were MORE than fair considering the circumstances.

Your replies stating that something other than facts here have been presented by us, and that there is "another story", are indirectly accusing us of being wrong. But, I can also assume by the PTS in your signature that you are highly biased in the situation.

Dalton's Spambell account hasn't been banned. If we aren't telling the facts here, how come he hasn't replied to defend his actions?

I can produce the original email from PTK when they came on as sponsors, and were quoted a rate. I also have records of the first check deposited that they mailed us 2 yrs ago. Dalton's excuse of "I thought advertising was free" doesn't hold water. We feel that waiving 18 months of advertising, and only asking for the last 6 months is MORE than fair here. Hell, we'll even take payments, we are flexible.

In the end, we are consistent and keep records, and PTS/PTK should just contact us to settle this. We have over a 100 advertisers, we seem to have amicable relationships with a 100 other companies.

Well Hell I didnt figure that I would be able to post anything!

But since I can...

Hey guys (refering to the owners of LS1 Tech) You guys have your side
we at pts have ours. I can perfectly see how you view your situation and
I am not here to convince anyone else otherwise.

Where I made a mistake was that I let another vender work a lose deal
with you for advertisement that I did not ever question. I did not call I
did not write I simply thought that there was a certain agreement. You
say there wasnt ok fine i understand that things get misunderstood. And
I guess that in this instance I was misunderstood. But my main complant
is that none of you let me know this until last month. And there where
several deals that jose was trying to work out with yall over a single then
a custom twin kit that we cut a smokin deal for (several thousands saved)
but you decided not to go with that, OK fine. But if I was misunderstood
about an agreement then why was I not contacted the next month that
you did not have a payment, not over 1.5 years later. Can you see where my misunderstanding went unnoticed. Again I am sorry for how this went down. But from my view
all the sudden I get a call stating that we owe over for over 2000. And then you cut it down to 700.00. I thank you for trying to work with us, but as I
told you my accountant runs a very tight ship around here as we save for
future projects and machinery that will allow us to put kits on the shelf.
I did not tell you that I would never take care of this I simply told you
that I can not take care of it right now. As I told you I am currently
putting together a budget.

Sorry guys for this inconveinence! ( PTS CUSTOMERS )

We did not suddenly bill you for the last 1.5 years. You come across as disorganized and act like you are a victim here, I am very unimpressed. We bill QUARTERLY. I am disappointed that you allege that we run a sloppy business, when we have over 100 advertisers and have been running smoothly for five years. If you care to chat with me and try to get this figured out, i can PM you my number, but please don't act like we have not been sending you invoices.

You have an opportunity to make this right, and not come across like another sloppy, poorly run turbo company. Ball is in your court Dalton. I'm fuming with your untruthful slant to your post.

I did not say that you run a sloppy business and I dont think that it even sounds that way in my post here. No, you did send an invoice...last month
for the first time after 1.5 years of business. I will take care of this I just cant right now. I am not trying to leave you high and dry but you have not given me a choice.

I am not arguing about payment, I am just saying that I cant pay you right now. That does not mean that I am not going to pay you. OK

I do not like burning bridges and I do not want that here.

I do not have problem with not posting or pushing our products until
this bill is taken care of.

Thanks for responding Dalton. Glad to hear you plan on taking care of this. You didn't give me any indication that you had plans to take care of this when we talked on the phone. If you had, this post wouldn't exist right now.

You simply said it wasn't in your budget, that you couldn't afford it. You didn't ask about delayed payments or payment plans, or anything else.

That left us with a "get screwed" feeling, as you can see.

BLWN1, quit nut-swinging. Dalton emailed me personally 6 months ago to put HIS banner up in place of the old one. This is the amount we would like to be paid for. This isn't a complicated routine, over 100 other vendors caught on instantly.

FYI, I have tried to resolve this by discussing this via Jose but after four weeks the communication has been sporadic and lacked any kind of responsiveness. I assume that Dalton does not care. Buyer beware!!!
