I'm having the exact same problem as the OP. 65+ it howls so bad it's embarassing. Before the sale he was extremely helpful...after the sale you get NOTHING. The boxes came beat to **** I have pictures of them. I did NOT get the u-joint bolts I had to go out and buy them...luckily a local place had them, but I didn't complain. I had a couple quick questions during the the install....not one phone call returned. Then after the break in I just wanted to know what kinda gear oil to use cause I had forgotten...what a surprise no call back. I mean to me the price of a 9" is A LOT of money...how hard is it to call back with a oil weight?? Does that really take that much time?

FWIW, when I was breaking in the rear I had a question about the proper procedure...I called Scott and got nothing back. I PMed EPP for the hell of it and got a response with in hours!! I didn't even buy the rear from the guy!! THAT'S customer service!!!

Maybe this is his fair well post to all of us....
Yeah he is taking a new job. I would sue that company, take them down. It's ridiculous. I am sure if all of you spoke up you would win!!!!

i also bought a 9inch about a year ago now. but never drive my car. At the begging of last summer i finally put 600 miles on it or so and changed he oil. Ever since then its gottin louder and louder. Scott also told me to put a thicker weight oil in it and did. Nothing changed. I brought it to a local guy and he thinks the gears are not set up right. So i was juts on a journey to blow it up and get a new center section. I have called him with no response since the summer here and there 4-5 times. At the time i bought it Scott was the man... i thought

Im looking forward to peoples experiences with jawsgear in that they seem very customer service oriented and have no problems answering peoples questions. It is good to have sponsors like this and hopefully everyones experience with them will reflect this.

Are any of you guys verifying the setup before installing it? I ordered my 9" directly from Moser and don't have any problems at all. The backlash and gear contact were perfect.

no I didn't know how to do it. And for 2400 dollars I shouldn't need to. I am not buying a happy meal at mcdonalds from some 17 year old kid who could care less if I got my fries or not. We are talking about a sponser on this board who should be a proffesional. The more I read about this the madder I get. It would seem that Scott knows there are problems with the 9 inch setups yet he choses to not respond or try and mislead the customer by saying its normal.
I would be curious to know how the owners of this board feel about having someone like this as a sponser?

Amazing,,,,,
Scott answers Bill (OP) within 8 hrs of Bill posting in the sponsors feedback forum
Bill call me I can put you in touch with the guy I use to set my gears up.
Like I told you every gearset I have had whined a little on decel. Decel whine is normal, Accel whine on a new gearset and high speed howling is not.

Wow, sorry to hear about this Bill. Hope it all works out. Definitely going to be following this situation as a 9" is in my not-to-distant future.
