where to get copper lsx head gasket

Just curious, why copper? I have been useing the MLS gaskets and getting better results from them. I have a customer that has a 15.8:1 compression 413 cid SBC in his alcohol dragster. He was running a o-ringed block with copper head gaskets and he would still blow them out between the cylinders. Since he has converted over to the MLS he has had zero failures and has reused them 5 times so far when refreashing the motor.

well i invested in about 6 sets of cometics last year with nothing but problems. the worst set o blew a hole through the top outer layer. pressure got in between the layers and the blew it into the water port on the head

I would speculate that if you are having issues, detonation or otherwise with a quality MLS gasket you will have them with copper/oring also.
On a side note copper has a melting temperature 1800-1900 F. Most stainless or carbon steels are 700-800 F higher than that.

I'm sure with correctly machined clean surfaces your not going to have issues with mls. And this applies to copper/o-ring too(other than water seepage).
If you are not getting one or the other of these gasket types to seal, something else is going on. You have a poor or dirty surfaces, warped head, detonation, wrong gasket part #.
