**ET Heads** Resolved**
As some of you may know, Cartek Racing in New Jersey is building my single turbo LSX setup. We ran into some snags earlier in the build but the project is in good hands now and should be done very very soon (we are hoping to test and tune by early fall). The LSX motor was built back in late winter early fall of this year and Cartek had put 4 bolt ET 255 heads on the motor, instead of the 6 bolt heads (originally we were going to run a 91mm turbo and I changed my mind late in the build and decided if I wanted to hang with the big dogs ie; Ohio Boys, Stenod, Wormboy, a 91mm wasn't going to cut it, so we put a 106mm in there). That's when we decided we need the 6 bolt ET heads.
Cartek placed the order for the 6 bolt heads back in April '08, and we were told 6 weeks before we saw the heads. 6 weeks came and went and we called again and they said another 3 weeks. 3 more weeks came and went... I called Greg or Craig (not sure of his name) 1.5 weeks ago and he said it would be at least another 3 weeks.
I sent 3 separate emails last week to Mike Polasek, Cary Chouinard and Jim Haines regarding the status of my heads and I have not received any replies. I know they are online because they are posting on this site.
Then I heard some disturbing news that ET was closing their doors, going out of business.
Lets call it like it is, ET has probably the best LSX heads out on the market right now!! I really want their heads to be part of my turbo setup, but with customer service like this, I don't think it's worth it.
If anyone from ET is out there reading this, kindly post some feedback here and bring me up to speed on whats going on.
Thank you,
Mike
ETP is not going out of business. That is a rumor. I am not in the position to say anything other than, I hate answering for the BS that goes on there. It is very discrediting to myself and to Craig's own personal reputation because of our association. Neither one of us has anything to do with the politics within their doors. We are put in bad positions trying to answer for the position of the company. We should have some answers this week about the production of our cylinder heads. I wish I could say more, but I don't want to be called a liar. I am sorry about the situation that you are in Mike and I will let you know as soon as I know.
Thanks,
Cary
I have considered the 6 bolt All Pro's, but I would really like the ET 6 bolts, plus my valve train is already set up for the ET's.
