It's done right thanks to both of you. I felt like such a dumb $hit... lol... Hey, even an old timer can make a mistake once in a while... Thanks for pointing things out.

I am sure that would work but it is expensive. I paid 26.00 shipped to my front door for mine and it's made of billet aluminum and is chrome plated. I'd look for a less expensive option unless you had your heart set on that particular one. It is a good insurance option.

Now I have two.... I put one on the other side as well. They are both working great and it does catch oil. Now I have NO OIL at all getting into the intake. Plus, it looks cool having them side by side.

This system still works great. Very inexpensive and still quite effective.

I never had an issue burning through oil either but I did notice some oily residue that was on the back on my throttle body blade when I made the switch. My catch can only catches about 1oz. to 2oz.'s of oil per change but it is better than going back into the intake. Keeps things cleaner on the inside. It was well worth the 16 bucks.

Give it a try Lew. I bet you end up catching some oil in it.

Hmmm... I just might....

whenever I clean my MAF sensor, I always check out the TB as well.. and have never noticed anything in/on it though... mine's clean...

I've been running mobil 1 oil in it since 9k miles... and I'm at just about 93,000 miles now.... and usually clean the MAF every 2-3 months...

The oil enters the engine by the large nipply elbow (lol...) on top of the intake itself. I bet if you took off the TB and looked at the back of the blade and on the inside of the intake you will see some oily residue. This is the crap that's going into the motor. Look at it this way.... It can't hurt and 16 bucks is very cheap insurance... I didn't twist your arm anymore; did I? lol...

hahaha...

yes sir... 93k.. and still runs strong as hell, even better than when I bought it brand new in Nov. 2005.... ;-)

it's 80 miles a day just for my work commute (an hour each way)... nevermind any other running around on weekends and stuff... hehe

I put 87,000 miles on mine. It still runs great. It all depends on how they are taken care of. These are very nice engines.

Do you have pics of this setup?

Also, I might have missed this, what size hose did you use?
