Default Does anyone know anything about these coilovers?

digging around on ClubGP I saw a mention of these guys.

http://www.westshorefabricators.com/

apparently they make coilover suspension kits for W bodies, I've never heard of anyone mention coilovers for our cars before, and anytime I've seen someone ask, people have said they don't exist.

they seem to have 3 options according to this, http://www.westshorefabricators.com/WBody/Coilovers.htm and it looks like a decent option for our cars. having a fully adjustable ride height as well as stiffness. it would fix that problem where the rears always seem lower when dropped.

I've had them in my car part bookmarks, but no prices on the site so haven't looked into it further. They have lateral arms too. http://heldmotorsports.com/WBody/Arms.htm is what I had, so I guess they renamed.

Well if it fits those cars it will probably fit ours with little to no modification. I heard they were $500+ for the nicer two options.

$500+ for the nicer 2 options sounds just fine, considering if you want a drop, often you'd want to get springs as well as struts. seeing as the stage 3 option uses Koni struts too, I'd think it's worth it depending on how much this costs. I shot these guys an email, so I'll see how much this costs.

got a reply from these guys, can anyone elaborate on why this guy is saying this?

The rears are $776 built ob KYB AGX’s

The fronts are the same price but you need to convert to 04 style front suspension, or loose the sta-bar.
what is he talking about regarding the stabilizer bar? or going to the 04 front suspension?

Depending on vehicle there are about three different stabilizer bars that were used. The current GXP's have a different bar than the monte carlo and impalas and it mounts differently.

hell for that price easystreet struts it a air ride company cost that much and let me tell ya iam on there struts on my alero and fully adjustbale, and perform just as good if not better then a coil over
my alero was on a set of custom made struts so is a friend of mine using koni`s coil overs and his car rides so stiff and its so bouncy i want to run out of his car, the set i was on was that kyb strut with a custom made set up using sprint springs, and mine was so rough and so horrible driving it i couldnt take it no more ,

each bump each small crack it felt like the cradle was going to fall right out from under the car, i would ask about the spring rate and to see a pic of said struts, or think about going to air ride
i wil never do a coil over again

I hate to bring up an old thread, but I found these coilovers on the intense site. Of course we would need the rear sway bar option for the rears, but it may be a good option. Says 97-03. I am not sure there was anything changed 04+. Anybody know? Does anything hook up to the front struts? It looked like the sway bar links bolt to the lower control arms to me. The gxp might be different though.

Dropping $1300 on coilovers is a little out there I know...

I know this thread is ancient. I just stumbled upon it Googling Coilovers. I saw the Q about changing suspension so I figured I'll go ahead & answer.

What that msg ment about changing the front suspension is you need to change the LCA's & sway bar up front in order to use the coilovers. In the 97-03's the sway bars mounted to the LCA's not the strut. That's why the coilovers won't drop right in on a GXP.
