Default Track Prep list

So i thought id start a thread with everyones idea for getting best times at the track. Lucky for us GXP owners are cars have a air compressor. This makes adjusting tire preasure easy.
Air front tire presure down. Air rear tires up to max.
Remove driver side head lamp. i have seen people use belt dressing on the tires like VHT track bite. I like to turn traction control and stabilitrack off.
Spin off the tires to clean them off make them warm up a bit.
Try to get up to the line first Stall out the T/Q converter, then select the RPM i wanna launch from.

I have a bottle of that track bite, I wouldn't use it on the tires you drive on everyday.

Panther can you help me out with this?

"Try to get up to the line first Stall out the T/Q converter, then select the RPM i wanna launch from."

What do you mean by stall out the T/Q? I've heard of torque converter stall, and understand the basics, but I guess I'm confused.

Hold the brake, and rev up the motor then launch.

Oh I hold the brake down and launch around 2K or so, but I still just light the tires. If I ease in to it, no tire slip but still the same 60' times. I'm leaning towards the tires which is why I am going to look for something stickier. No to mention burning the 20's will get expensive.

Well we dont have a spare tire. So we got a tire inflator and can of tire sealant instead. Look where the spare tire would be.

Take as much weight off your rear tires as u can.. Because we are fwd, when we first take off, the weight transfers to the rear and takes the weight away from the front.
