It's about an inch shorter, am I going to need to jack up the back of the engine or what?

Put the car in Neutral first then you should be able to rock the engine forward with a pry bar. Good luck.

Where do you put the prybar? I can't find anywhere that doesn't have hoses and wires. I tried jacking up the back but it won't quite make it. This sucker's at LEAST an inch shorter hole to hole, I'm worried that the engine won't rock that far.

did you order the correct one????

I'd be worried about having to tweak/angle the engine that much more forward and putting more stress on the tranny...

That's why you need to put the trans in N before atempting to move the engine. 06MonteSS is on to something tho, if it is that much shorter it may pu a bind on the trans mount.

I was under the impression that our mounts were the same. Dunno if it'll fit then.

I'm just worried about the transmission mounts, stress, and whatnot. This thing is closer to an inch and a half shorter.

When you lower a W-Body with a 3800 the engine sits lower/at a different angle then factory.

So these move the engine forward to help re leave stress on the drive train and on the rack.

I talked to Mike and he said he doesn't know if it will work. He said the best advice is to measure the length of your stocker and that of a 3800 to see if those are the same to start with. If they aren't then that should give you an answer. If they are then it might work but he isn't sure as it has never been officially tested.

Hope that helps,

John

Thanks, buddy. I'll probably just swallow the cost and not chance screwing anything major up.
