Yeah just keep pulling. If might be hard to fit a puller tool inside the engine bay but you could go see what your local auto parts store has to offer. Sometimes the wire boots are just really hard to get off and the only solution is a strong set of hands and fresh muscles. Anyway when you replace them be sure to put some special dielectric grease on them so you don't have this problem again

Got the wire off it has dielectric grease on them just took a little different angle to remove them.Why does it have the metal around them and that spring? Is the metal some type of heat shield?

Yea. You can get little booties from taylor for them that are made out of nomex or whatever, but I haven't had a problem with mine burning. I think it's good to 600 degrees without and like 1200 with them. 2560 is the part number for the black ones and 2562 for red.

if you want to spend your money on them.....they look cool, but it isnt going to get you anywhere in the heat shield or performance dept. LOL I like the "look cool" aspect myself...and it can never hurt...they go on..they look good...and they work, regardless if we need them LOL...
