Default Opinions on custom GXP grills

I found a "universal chrome wire mesh" kit online that I thought could make for a cool replacement for the factory black grills. Anyone ever done this and how difficult do you think it would be to trim them to work? I think it would actually look pretty good against a darker colored car if done correctly. I'd replace all three grills on the front bumper as well as the side grills on the front fenders, any thoughts??

Mesh is described as 1/4" between openings, listed as "fine" mesh.

Joe.

Might be cool if done properly. Give it a GXP-V look.

On the subject of grills, I always thought it would be cool for a Monte Carlo to have a black mesh upper and lower grill without the bowtie.

Here's a GXP with a mesh grille:
All G6 GXP's come from the factory with a mesh grille.

Only problem with those is they aren't GXP-compliant...
