Dealer tried to sell me a 05 vette before I bought my car, but it was a std vette with a auto. so, I was like oh........... hell no! Sometimes, I think I might have been better off though. We have aluminum frames too. I've seen many vettes at the track, and it seems like most people don't know how to drive them. I'm sure you know what your doing, but am shocked to see a 2.0 with IRS.

yeah man I tried everything. Is just the 2.73 gear and 1800 stall leave much to be desired in the 60'ft. Not to mention it was opening day so the track was prepped really well too. Just put it to the floor is all I could do. Later on that year I realized the 2.73's actually worked out pretty well when I hooked up the spray, could spray in 1st and still get decent traction.

Dam.. Bad news fellows. I don't think we will be able to install a different intake without moving the crossover pipe. I was looking at my stock intake and I have about an 1/8" clearance between my intake elbow and crossover. Our stock intake inlet has a slight angle pointing the tb upwards and the LS1/LS6 intakes neck is pointing straight. This will crash the tb into the pipe! I'll find out in a few weeks I guess but now my belly is turning!
Truck tb is too big so a adapter might move the tb out just enough but I'm worried.

I just got all of my **** together, to do a complete bolt on swap. So, now I might be ***-ed out. I might have to cut the pipe and install a flex tube with two clamps and have an exhaust shop fab up that section with a slight downward bend.

My car put down 238hp@ the wheels before tuning with just a downpipe and I was traping 99.8mph with my rear tires maxed out and gas light on. I was told that 10hp at the wheels is about a 1mph gain in the 1/4.

the fasted LS4 (supercatxr7) trapped 106.8 with k&n, ported intake, rockers, 3"dp. He had nowhere near 330hp so 108 should be easy with headers and ls6 intake.

I'm almost done installing and should wrap it up tomorrow. That trans tube bolt is evil. I took it out with a 3/8 drive 10mm,universal,24inch extension from the top but had to put it back on blind hugging the driver side engine cradle using two hands and a little 10mm ratcheting combo wrench like 2 clicks at a time.
I got a shorter alternator bracket bolt for the firewall driver side and now my valve cover comes out no problem. Didn't have to mess around with the fan belt.
Overall it's probably a 2-3 day project for the weekend warrior with much cursing/refreshing in between.

I'm sore and my hands have a few scrapes. You would have to be a magician to do it in 4hrs, but it is doable for a normal person. Maybe if the old exhaust was already off you could put them on in 4. It's like 1hr putsing with the air intake, spark plug wires, strut bar, rear coils and valve cover, old downpipe, crossover etc. The front mani is pretty easy except the bolt by the coolant temp sensor. The rear is a fun time.
