Thorley Header Project Update
I want to order a set of these soon, but will have to wait until after the holidays. Any word on how many they will produce and if they keep producing them or if this is a limited run? Plus a final price will be nice, but for 650 for all that work, that seems fair. Plus they are ceramic coated which is a nice plus.

And does anyone have a sound clip? Or is there a dyno Video on you tube or anything?
Many thanks to BuickRacer and WilliamGT for getting this going. Even tho the gains arent what some expect, its just another step in the right direction for us.
Thanks
Greg

And sorry if I missed it in the thread- but what is the primary size on the one they made?
So if all of these get bought up in the group buy, they're not making any more? I'd really like a set, I just really want to see a production set first for weld quality, fitment issues, etc that people find- you know?

Thanks for the recap on the info.
Too bad they couldn't add a straight pipe to bolt up for a little extra money.
Thats the nice thing about the 4t65hd- there have been so many high power cars run this transmission that there are quite a few options for performance parts and fully built transmissions.
3inch and welds right to the cat
perhaps we should start a thread on transmission options.
The numbers are what I expected. Like Buickracer said, he messed with the tune, which could affect the baseline/after numbers. These numbers are also going thru a stock catalytic converter and a:

If you were to ditch the stock cat with a high flow cat or straight pipe, I'd bet you would see at least another 5 hp. You also forget that the top end is probably capped by the intake and the stock rockers/springs. Throw a set of HS rockers with patriot springs, and a LS6/LS2/edelbrock intake on it and then you will really wake that thing up!
Sittingmongoose,
I'm sure if you didn't want to weld, you could send the y-pipe to Hogan Performance and they would weld up a high flow pipe for you for a very reasonable price.
