Default Cutout questions

Im thinking about doing a cutout... but i've heard horror stories about how they all leak after a while... just wanted to ask those of you that have one if you've experienced this issue... and which cutout you have... thanks

Mine doesn't leak, but I do leave it cracked most of the time, upon the rare occasion of it being closed, it's quiet, which is why I leave it cracked.

I have a Badlanz, I bought it off of eBay.

This is how mine stays.

I kept getting complaints from leaving it wide open; car alarms going off, scaring children, etc.

EDIT: By cracked I mean between 33 and 50% open, lol. I still run it wideopen occasionally in open areas or if I'm showing off.

Same with me. It has I think like 150 uses, I forget. It's not meant to open and close every day, it's meant for occasional track days or car shows. So depending on how you use it, you'll get various life expectancies.

hope this answer your question...granted I have the cam so a lil bit of a unfair advantage but ya get the idea, 3" QTP located in the DP before cat

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjM99OpqTRY

we really do need to make sticky post about most frequent asked question with a sound data base we can all throw clips into :< I know if you searched you'll find this vid prob 3 or 4 times on here kinda mute point to throw it up again but I guess some people don't like the search button :<

mmm guess I fail at reading comprehension as well ya prob went catless exhaust all the way back not a str8 dump lol

only prob I've had is due to where it's install and orientation my motor for the cutout sticks about a inch below the cradle. with my driving habits it's not a uncommon thing for my car to get some air time on certain areas of austin the way the roads are. I hit the motor when I bottomed out the car hard once :< that's my own fault not fault of the cutout so no complaints from me about build quality ect, nothing but a grin from ear to ear when it's open.

is there any chance you can get a pic of where your cutout is at? i have to relocate mine to the DP since i will be lowering my car next spring and with it being where the res. used to be i wont have any clearance. thanks!!!
