Hogan catless DP is the best mod you can do, IMO. As long as you don't have emissions.

I'd recommend the stickies in the main Gen III and Gen IV sections, David Vizaard's books (oldies but goodies), and Greg Banish's book on tuning. Your library should have the books; you don't need to buy them.

GenI/II small block chevys had the same sound, the LS series got a different firing order and therefore a different sound. Headers will modify the sound and hopefully stop our cars from sounding like a 1977 C10 with glasspacks.

I got a 08 GXP, if the car breaks because of the headers, than it will only void that problem.

so much information. i was looking for exhaust/mufflers and i was upset that SLP doesnt make exhaust systems for the impala. The loudmouth sounds really loud and mean. I see that magnaflow only makes a catback system for the impala ss but i dont like the way magnaflow sounds. the flowmaster super 44's sound really good though

you could buy 2 SLP LM or LMII mufflers and have them welded in if that's the sound you're after. Also think about deleting the mufflers completely and just leaving the resonator on there.

I don't see why not, the resonator is still a muffling devise.

The QTP cutout sounds interesting. a friend of mine has a charger that is customed with chrome and all the other goodies with a flowmasters exhaust system and super 40s. his car for the most part is really good and he was like why didnt u get a charger. they are nice but im gonna stick with my impala ss. i love them even though they are FWD

Thing with flowmasters is that they're expensive and they don't really offer much increase in performance. They're really a poor flowing design.
