I get you 100%. I'm sure we've discussed this in another thread. My post was to 06 SS who thought the correct part wouldn't fit.
AG - are you getting the right product any time soon? If the cutting isn't too bad I plan on getting this intake. Intake temps would be a lot nicer.

Well, it seems it is the right one, it's just not exactly what I was expecting. I did get some pictures and it looks like it will work. The way it's set up, the filter is not completely inside the fenderwell. I believe I'll either be extending it or making some sort of shield. ![](http://webmail.aol.com/31144-311/aol-1/en-us/mail/get-attachment.aspx?uid=1.27015039&folder=Inbox&partId=4)

It's bullshit u have to mod it to make it work like it was shown in the pictures. They should have shown the right picture. I WAS going to buy this intake as well but I think I'm gonna go with the CAI intake now.

I'm not going to save them and upload them to photobucket right now. lol
I agree, it should have had an accurate picture. But I'm just going to see what I can do with what I've got here.

Yep. It's on but only about 1/2 the filter is in the fenderwell. I guess I'm going to make a little box for it eventually. The only other thing is that the MAF housing and the intake tube are 2 different sizes...I stuck the MAF housing into the tube and used some sealant to make sure it's in there good.

It's not for GXP only, it has many vehicles that it's advertiesed to work on, but it is advertised that it will work for our cars with some cutting. And the dimensions from a GXP to a MCSS or ISS shouldn't be that far off to only have half of the filter in the fenderwell, when the advertised pictures have it completely in the fenderwell.

So guys, once again I'm the test mule for the LS4 people. Now you know what you're getting if you're wanting to buy this intake.

Its just like the pics I sent you, there is no block off plate, it uses a
s+b (all my intakes do), and the maf goes on the end like in the pics.
The washer jug has to be moved back towards the firewall 3/4" and the pcm
screws to the inner fender with the supplied hardware.
