I'd be interested in the gains (HP and TQ numbers).

No codes thrown. I do have a pcm/tcm program cable but I am going to wait until the headers, ported intake, and new trans. are all on. All that will be done within 3 to 4 weeks.

We also really need a catch can too. I took off the old tb and there was a thin layer of oil residue on the blade and the spacer. This residue is coming from the intake tube that connects to the top of the valve cover area. A catch can in between the two connections should catch most of the residue and you can get them off of e-bay for less than 20 bucks and that includes the mounting hardware.

What's the benefit in this?

Did you unplug the battery during install to let it reset?
Keep us posted if there are any MPG gains with this as well.
Thanks!

I did disconnect the negative cable on the battery but the pcm should re-learn it within 3 ignition cycles anyway.

The purpose of a catch can is to NOT let the oil back into the intake. They do work too.

I am the king of inexpensive mods. I consider this one of them. Much better mid-range throttle response. I'd do it again. This is NOT a full out port job, this TB has a mild mill and the 2 sharp blade like protrusions are gone at the back of the tb. This tb has more of a round shape all the way through as the stock one has a very slight oval shape. With this tb it would be best to tune for it but it will not throw any codes and will still flow better. I am glad I found this by accident.

If you have 8 pins in the connector on your stock tb then it will fit your car. Mine had 8 and I have an 05.

Hey how do u remove the plug properly? Do u just grab the big black plug like thing closest to the tb and yonk it out? or start using needle nose and slowly start removing the pink clip etc. to take it apart? 07 GXP

Pull the colored piece up and squeeze the top black part together right under the colored part.

My fuel econony stayed the same which is good. Usually it goes down with one of these until the tune is corrected. I only had it on less than a week so it's hard to say what the FE will be.

Neil,

This isn't stock. I compared the two when I changed it out just to make sure.
