I'm not going to lower my car unless I can find some GXP specific lowering springs.
We have had plenty of rainy days here in Seattle, this past week and the tires work flawlessly. I have absolutely NO complaints, and I believe that everyone should do this this mod!

Salt? I hope you have a way of rinsing it off.

I cant rinse the salt off the roads, haha. I do wash my car about every other day if there is any salt on her. And IDK about the impala SS I think they have 7" wide rims and not 8" like the GXPs but I could be wrong...

Its got 7 inch rims on it atm but ima be talking to my local discount tire guy to see if running an 8 inch tire with the 40 tall would fit without rubbing on other monte carlo sites i think it has just been the 50's that rub

I think the GXP has larger wheel openings (wide track?)

Rock salt has a way of causing body ro,t and serious scale rust. The Grand Prix rocker pannels will rot away from trapped rock salt. I don't drive my car in the winter anymore and the frame is beautiful. (It gets pressure washed twice a year) My DD Explorer came from Utah, and I have spent quit a few $$ on chassis repairs.
