I'm thinking about Super 40's and having my res removed, how does it sound just cruising down the highway and when dod kicks in? I don't mind it loud but want my 6 month old to still be able to sleep when we're going down the road!!

its loud when u start it up in the morning with a cold start i mean VERY LOUD. i set off a couple alarms already. cruising down the highway u dont get that much drone inside and when in 4 cylinder mode u barely hear it from the inside. your son/daughter will still be sleep so thats not a problem. these cars literally sound like a truck with the flowmasters and res removed imo but dont get me misunderstood i loooove the sound. its music to my ears just want it a bit louder. i have a friend with a dodge charger even though its the 3.5, his exhaust sounds freakin awesome. it definitely sounds like it might b a hemi under there

Just cut the mufflers off and call it a day.

My exhaust has the sound to match the '63 Impala SS badges I've got on the car.

pfyc or ebay. We've got threads here about them. I paid 150 for mine, took the DP off myself, had the cat cut off and cutout welded on for ~$20, and reinstalled the DP myself.

I'll leave right now, lol.

Removing the DP was easy, just 2 bolts. Of course my exhaust wasn't welded up at the time, just clamped.

I just refer to the pipe connected to the exhaust mani as the DP, lol. Is that not right?

If it's all welded up I figure my local exhaust shop would charge between 60-100 to install the cutout, dunno how price are in NJ.

Most of the guys here have the QTP from pfyc. I cheaped out and bought a BadLanz one off of eBay. I may get the QTP one, since I caught a bad dip in the road a bit too fast and bent mine a little, so now when I close it all the way I gotta help it open...
