Default Exhaust

Is magnaflow the only exhaust made for these Impala's? I want to look into getting a new exhaust but magnaflow isn't loud enough for me. Any suggestions?

The consensus is that any of the V6 W-body exhausts will fit with some relatively minor modifications to the mounts and trimming/adding short sections of pipe.

You could also get one custom made and put louder muffs on em'. But that might be a little more $$. Or you could keep stock piping and put different muffs on it! That is the cheaper way to go LOL

Have the mufflers cut out and a new set welded in. Or delete the resonator.

from his sig, he has already hacked up the stock system and is looking for a new cat-back system. He has also already removed the resonator.

I was under the impression he already had the Magnaflow system.

In that case I'd order a bunch of pipe from Summit or Jegs and make my own system. Much cheaper.

I'd do a 3" system, Y it into 2 2.5" pipes with spintech mufflers. If ground clearance isn't an issue put the spintech where the resonator was and run the pipes on back.

they just did a header group buy you might even still be able to get in on it. if you want it loud run the headers and put the res back on and run straight pipes no mufflers. should be pretty loud.

Just hack off the cat and resonator and put in a cutout like me.

EDIT: What is your sig for? If you have FM 40s and res delete, it should be decently loud.
