isnt the bolt pattern different on the gxp and the impala you have?

those are your two options..

because of our calipers..right now I got my original rim in there and its taking up the whole trunk almost. sucks.

yes good call, i couldnt remember the bolt pattern 5x127mm on the impala

maybe we dont need a spare tire ? only older corvettes i owned had spare tires [1967/1985] ! all c5 corvettes had runflats, except [ 2002>2004] zo6 had air pump in rear trunk. all newer c/6 corvettes, including zo6/zr1 have runflats..the other day when searching for stock size tires for my 2008 ss impala on tirerack, asked if i wanted runflats ? of course runflats maybe more expensive ? but they will get you home !! has anyone looked into this option ? are they available ? rkvette

yea every GXP has the tub for the spare but no spare. They have this tire pump bs in there

None have spares.

Those who purchased vehicles probably bought second hand cars where the previous owner purchased a 16" spare from a non GXP or another vehicle.

I don't think its a aftermarket addition, there's a molded rack for the tire iron/ jack and all the tiedowns welded to keep it in place....
