Has anyone actually tried the theory of wraping the flex tube on the crossover pipe to see if that takes care of the whistle, or at least helps?? I know it's been talked about some here, just wondering if anyone has really done it and what results you've gotten????
Gonna give it a whirl next week when I get home from being on the road for work, but wanted to throw the question out there that if anyone has already tried it and it didn't work, to save me the time of trying... But if it works will certainly let y'all know......

Thank you GS. I have been suggesting this over and over for the last week and a half and you are the only response so far. I haven't put my set of headers on yet but was going to wrap the flex on the x-over. Thank god you are going to do this because I thought I'd be the guinea pig again. Please let us know if it works. Thanks in advance.

Well I got around to wrapping the flex on the crossover and it definitely makes a difference. I used DEI exhaust wrap, but I have to say it was a pain in the *** to get down in there.
The whistle is still audible, but muffled now. Wasn`t a perfect job and maybe not as tight as I could have gotten it if I had more time, but we`ll see once it sets for a bit with the heat if it improves some more.

Like you said before when you had it checked out, the sound was travelling backwards. Maybe the sound is created by the gasket and moving back up and escaping from the flex. I never looked at it before it got installed, maybe someone who have the parts lying around can check if the gasket is obstructing the flow.

Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
