Try wrapping the flex area with some header wrap and see if that tones it down any. If it does then at least you know it's that area. I may wrap mine when they go on to surpress the whistle.

I took my car to the shop today to check the exhaust whistle.
He says the sound starts in the back of the y pipe and goes to the front, and he says its back pressure.
Also says 3inch cat-back or true duals will stop the whistle, there is no exhaust leaks.
