IMO I don't think that the body kit is too extreme for these cars...the hood is what really makes it stick out. All the different model Impala's look identical from the LT's, LS, to the SS except for the rear bumper being dual exhaust vs. single. Maybe I'm in the minority group saying that I like it, but I don't want you all to think that I support those big gay ricer wings and fart canon mufflers! It just dresses up the plain Impala look...especially the SS

Default Monte carlo bumper on 2007 impala ltz

What ? You think i made it up, it's not rocket science it's just nuts and bolts. These cars are mass produced with as many like attachments/parts as possible. Here's the picture. I retired from gm tech center.

From the pics the front bumper looks noticeably lower than the rest of the car... or are the pics misleading?

I'm after the Monte Carlo SS front end look which would require something to lower the look of the side and rear(for the IMP).

The pics are misleading. The bumper height is exactly the same as the original. The Monte bumper attached directly to the Impala valance. Here's a better pic. The chrome fog light bezels need to be changed to black it makes the lower grille look like it's missing chrome. I've got some very positive comments from the Dealership.

I REALLY want to do that Monte front bumper. But it has to be the SS front bumper. I can't find anything that doesn't break the wallet.

i dont think the SS one is that huge of a difference. besides the cross hatched grilles and the ground effect. the center piece could be painted black to break it up like the SS if you really wanted to. the ground effects on it would def make it lower and than it would look a little odd unless you put side skirts and a rear ground effect on the imp to match it. maybe just swap the grille, and call it a day once you swap the bumpers.

i was just looking online. no one even makes side skirts or even a kit for the impala. except for that really ugly one. if you got the regency side skirts and tail and then swapped the monte ss front bumper i think it would be good.

That's my thought exactly. Sure, the non-SS bumper swap is great and all (it DOES look really good), but w/o the SS front spoiler/valence, it's not worth the effort.

And I said it before, I hate the front bumper on that razzi kit. If it were blended/molded onto the OE bumper, it might be halfway decent, but that's a lot of work. the rear isn't AS bad, and the side skirts are OK, but the package as a whole is not my cup of tea.

Default Ss monte carlo impala bumper swap

Chances are the Monte Carlo rocker panel ground effects will fit an Impala perfectly (With the possible exception of the last couple years that they flared the Impala rocker panels). Both cars have a 110.5 inch wheelbase, which means the distance between the front wheel well to rear wheel well on both cars would be the same.

Anyone with a Monte want to measure? I think someone did before and said the Monte rockers would need to be trimmed...not sure, though.

The Monte bumper on the Impala looks 100x better, IMO. Glad to see some one did it. The SS one would look much better too.

On MonteCarloForum.com a Monte has an impala bumper, and it's just wrong...

The only minor problem I see is the little flare on the side of the bumper, doesn't look like it lines up with the lines going down the doors as good as the Monte.

Who's selling the kits now? I thought they trashed their excess a couple years ago. I even contacted them and they said they have no interest in selling at any cost.
