Default There going IN!!!

Well finally decided to put the headers on the Imp,I ask for Friday off to head up to my bro pad to "Get'er Done"...LOL...Hopefully everything is done by Friday night,then off to the muffler shop to weld the collector to the cat...So Sunday I can roll out to the NAIOA meet by the city walk...

I bought new exhaust mani gaskets,is there any other gaskets I need or any other parts I would need???Thanks in advance

Excellent! Post videos and pics when its all said and done. I would love to hear what these things sound like with headers. What brand did u go with btw?

I put in a new gasket between the dp and catback but thats not necessary if you're cutting the dp I guess.

2 qts trans fluid and some anti seize.

Yeah will post pics and a vid,but its gonna be thru my G1 again...DT Headers,the only ones I know about....

Default Problem!!!

Well got the headers in last night,and drained the trans fluid and changed the filter.With that aside,I ran the car open header down to the muff shop(ran her hard)...Well got the cat welded back on and it seem good on the cruise home....Got ready and decided to go for a ride and as I stop at the stop light my traction stability light turned on and my check engine light...while running open header,I had no lights pop on....any ideas??? Please help,maybe tune????

Yeas got the anti seize,new gaskets,trans fluid and filter...I'm gonna disconnect the battery ,to see if it clears the code and go from there I guess...

Read the code and see. If you have the rear o2 still in the tune I suppose it will pop a po420.

You thinking the o2 is causing the check engine light?what would throw the stability control light to go off???ill have to wait till Monday to check the code out,I don't have an OBD2 reader...

Has anyone else had this same problem with the check engine light going off???Do you think it since I opened up the exhaust and the headers along with my CAI,would it throw AF ratio out of wack???

i wonder if since the engine is now being able to breath a lot more if its causing the light to come on because the engines wanting more fuel but cant have it? idk

I was rich as hell. And I was already tuned for a catless 3" and cutout. No telling how far down on power you are. I picked up 50 fwhp after my tune.

You went catless didn't you? That rear O2 sensor is freaking out, throwing a code.

I think when I ran it over to the exhaust shop open header,the computer made it run to rich(note I had both o2 sensors connected)

No,didn't go catless ... Had the stock dp welded to the collector with both o2's plugged in... Today I diconnected the battery for 15 min to see if the code would clear,when I turned the car on light was gone and it ran for 5 mins(but my remote start doesn't work any more either)...

So ,since doing the headers 3 things have happen check engine light came on,traction stability light came on,and the remote start doesn't work any more...Any ideas,any one???

Car runs great though,much improved throttle response..Just the light is getting on my nerve....

No,whistle bro just a rattle from the what I think is coming from the flex pipe only when I rev it...

well the engine light = its riding to lean..
the remote start not working = because the engine lights on.
and the traction control = idk. it could be ur plugs are loose..
just my thought ..

Loose connection? MAF maybe? MAF would definitely set off the stability control. Auto Zone will read the code for free.

Well already disconnected the battery and the check engine light and stabiltiy control light is off now,and first thought was to double check the plugs and wires and all were good.I think I have a hard code cause the remote still doesn't work(no check engine light on either)

Autozone around here doesn't do it anymore,but my co worker has one and I have to wait till tomarrow...
