Default What Brand of Premium fuel do you use?

I've been wondering lately about premium fuel prices. Is $3.39/gal premium gas from BP or Mobil really better than $3.21/gal premium gas from Murphy USA/Walmart? They both have to adhere to the same federal octane rating standards, correct?

I pulled into my normal BP yesterday where 87 octane was $2.99, but 93 octane was $3.39 - WTF, $0.40/gallon more for premium? F that, I closed my fuel cap and promptly went over to Walmart and filled her up with $3.21 93 octane (their 87 octane was also $2.99).

My SS seems to run just as fast & smooth with lower priced gas. Any thoughts?

I Run:

BP/Shell/Sunoco/Hess

In that order I won't use any other gas. AND I WILL NEVER USE WAWA's

Why? What proof do you have that those brands are better than any other? No flame...

Just what I prefer to be honest, but WAWA is a mix of fuels so I would never use it

I believe Ford recommends BP for the Mustang it's in the manual and I think it is on the gas cap.....don't know what that is about.

If you get a BP Visa card you can get 5% back when you fill up there.

I only buy 93 octane from Marathon, but that's just because it's the only gas card I have.

So nobody has any actual proof that one is better than the other...seems more like personal preference to me, right?

Chevron - $2.98 for premium as of today. Note that it is against the law to pump your own gas in Oregon except for bikes I guess because they let me pump my gas when I ride my bikes.

I am very very very pissed at BP of what they have done to my state!! More than 5k barrels of oil is going into the gulf everyday and destroying the states livelihood and destroying the marsh!! They have done this for a month now and it continues. BP and the feds are at fault!! The feds missed 16 inspections in a row and they are as much to blame as BP!!!!

I use 93 octane Shell 3.10 a gal and I dont think there is much difference.
