The whistle is worth the power. I wouldn't get rid of my headers now...

I'll just have to see what can be done about changing the angle of the LS6 intake neck.

So what's the issue with other throttle bodies other than the [simple] rewiring? Someone can easily fab. up some adapter harnesses for $10-$15 easy. Maybe there're clearance issues?

I thought the stock throttle body was rather restricted.

Crap... Install may have to wait tell next week. I need the valley pan gaskets and LPE map relocation kit that I posted above. I'm still going to see what I can do.
I'm working with Ron and he is firm on getting my set up running first.

Apparently a simple wire harness adapter to switch truck TB for LS4 TB doesn't work. There must be internal wiring differences between the TBs. Too bad because this would seem to be the easy answer.

Unfortunately, I bought all of the wiring adapters, tb, and such. So I'm out 150.
Isn't there a DBW accelerator computer too? Also, I tried to open my tb with the key on and I got no movement so I think the engine has to be running in order to test the throttle openings.

Mine opens with the key on and engine off

My dashhawk won't show any tp position with the key on so I assumed the tb wasn't opening. The Dashhawk reads 77%@WOT but I've heard that it's actually 100% It's just a LS motor thing.

Well what about an LS6 or LS1 throttle body? Seems logical to use the throttle body if one is going to change the intake manifold. You know, an all-in-one deal. Unless there are other restrictions...

We're drive by wire. LS1/6 were Gen III motors (cable throttle).

I see.

I saw your thread from last year about the LS6 throttle body.

After doing some more research, it looks like we're really restricted WRT other throttle bodies. Major clearance issues.

I guess a ported stock throttle body with an adapter plate is the way to go...

I patiently await the results from this long weekend's build.

Dude, thanks for the heads up. You saved me from a very moment...

Dam! I was all pumped up to this swap this weekend, but now I need a valley pan gasket, and need to get the LPE map relocation kit. (Plug goes into the manifolds EGR hole, and has a hole, for the map sesor with a retaining bracket) I'm close!

LOl...
We would only need to cut a small 3"-5" piece out of the removable crossover pipe. Really, it's to easy and wont cost to much. Might even be able to dent the pipe for the time being.
