Default Finned Aluminum Tranny Pan's

I know ZZP sells them for 189.99. I recently found them from another company for a bit more and can't tell which one is better.

I may post this on club gp and see if I will get more responses. Let me know guys.

I bought mine off of PATC because ZZP was out of them. If I had to do it again I'd go with the ZZP one since it's cheaper and the same pan.

Do these pans cool as much as zzp claims is there any difference in cooling or is it just bs?? Is it worth it like they claim instead of a cooler, minimal gains or any?? Thanks Jeff

I have never owned one of these but my first inclination is to install an actual tranny cooler in front of the radiator first, for half of the price...

I had one installed, but I don't have a trans temp gauge, so I'm not sure how much it has helped. 10 degrees cooler is good. Some of the other pans available out there also allow for easy installation of a temp gauge sender. I went with ZZP (which doesn't have a spot), but it's something to consider.

So if I get the ZZP pan installed I wont be able to view the trans temp any longer like I was able to with the OE unit?

I think he was talking about an aftermarket gauge. I'm pretty sure your sender is somewhere else in the system, and that's what feeds the PCM the temp that reads out on your dash. My Impala doesn't have the factory trans temp monitor in the DIC, but I can monitor trans temp the same way the GXP guys do using my CN Interceptor scan gauge. So, I know all of these cars have a sender.
