Off Topic: Anybody carry concealed?

The judge is a good idea, in theory. But from everything I've seen it's a jack of all trades, master of none. the .45LC function has TERRIBLE accuracy, and the patterning/powder burning characteristic of the .410 just aren't awesome in a gun with that short of a barrel. If the guy is RIGHT there, it'd be just fine...but honestly if he's that close why not just shoot him with something else. At that point you can put a much larger bullet with much more energy transfer without worrying about missing.

I've come to trust a lot of things this guy says. He really cuts through the BS.

If you think you need more firepower, go with a .357 Sig or a .40 cal compact. I own many handguns, and I carry a 9mm because I know I can put every round exactly where I want it in a panic situation. Bigger caliber = bigger holes but for most shooters it means less accuracy in a panic situation.

Mine was 480 before tax with the blued steel. If you get the 3 inch magnum version like I did you can shoot 000 buck that has 5 rounds of .357 caliber in it which is sweet. Winchester has a special slug that has like 15 pellets and the flat rounds in it. I believe it is called buck and ball? lol

I would not trust my nor my familiy's life with a Judge. They are decent snake guns, but horrible accuracy with the .45 and the barrel is too short for the shotgun shell. No velocity, not enough penetration of the shot. The bare minimum I would consider is a 9mm and only with a +P hollowpoint. Sell the Judge and get anything else!

My Judge with the .45 long colts I can shoot just as accurate as I cam with my 9mm m9 Beretta. In shotgun shells the oo buck has a real tight pattern I believe it had a 4 inch spread at about 10yards, but anything less than that is not accurate at all. I can't remember the ooo buck, I don't usually shoot them since they are hard to find and $$.
My friends dogged this gun when I bought and after they shot the Judge they realized the badassness. But 5 rounds of .357 calliber pellets hitting someone in the chest at 750 fps doesn't sound pleasant to me.

Just turned 21. Live in NYS and just printed out the papers for it. My choice is a Glock or S&W. Both... 9mm or ACP .45 both hollow - more than enough stopping power. FMJ for the range.
lol.
