Default Sunday it's all done...

Well, this Sunday the headers, new tune, & TEP trans. goes in the car. After this, the motor is done. I just want to say thank you to all of the help I received over the years modding this car. Now I will focus more on appearance. I just bought some tint for it. I was also thinking of an Inferno hood sometime in the future.

Default mod day

It sounds like you are going to have a "Big Time" this Sunday. I am heading to Ind. this Monday for my transmission. I would like to say thank you for your contributions to this forum. I think you must have some gypsy blood in you because of all the great deals you find and then share with us.

Thanks guys. 707-I don't have Gypsy blood in me that I know of but I do have American Indian blood in me, but like 10% or so. Don't worry, I'll still look for specials for you all. I appreciate all the positive comments. Window tinting is next and I am trying it myself. I will let you all know how it goes.

Does anyone think a turbo can be possible with DT headers? Just wondering....

I have been toying with that idea.

Mel,

If I need any advice on that you and Derek are the first one's I'd ask. The Monte you have in my opinion is one of the nicest and tastfully done one's I have ever seen. My wife wants one really bad. She LOVES your car. Lets just say she probably had wet panties after seeing it. lol...

Probably need to redesign the crossover and y pipes. Maybe a little smaller diameter or something. Or do a rear mount like Rossko85.

Well, she is finished. I can't say enough for a TEP trans. Usually in 80+ degree humid weather my old trans. ran between 203 - 228. Usually when I park it at work (1hr. away) she is over 200 regardless of weather. Today, it was 84* and extremely humid (feels like Florida humidity) and the high temp. was 161*. I guess I need not to panic about trans. heat this time around. The headers are amazing too. Believe it or not it gave my car a nice low grumble and actually got rid of some more drone. The tune I had done is great too. The car moves so much better now. It's like having a new car. I estimate about a 25 to 30 hp gain with yesterdays work. It feels like that anyway. Thanks for all the help Gentlemen.

I really needed a tune. I added over 3/4 of the mods in my sig with an old tune on the car. The current tune tied everything together quite nicely. I can't say enough good things about the trans. It's like a night and day difference. I can honestly say I think I have a high 12 second car now. We'll see in a month or two when the trans. is broken in.

IMHO do not tint your own windows, i did it myself in my first car and it sucked bigtime, find a good shop with good reviews and pay them to do it, you will be much happier with it and it will look a million times better(and usually lifetime warranty). Its not easy to remove tint once its on so theres no easy way back. thats my 2-cents its your car not mine lol

Man, glad ya like everything ya done man!! I definitely want to start doing heavier modding to mine soon, so if you could still post the deals that would be awesome!!! On the other hand, I had a shop down the street from where I work do my windows, I believe it was 150 for the windows (2 door car) with a lifetime warranty, which is awesome if you ask me, the only thing is that the back window is kind of crappy around the bottom and top edges. The bottom edge has some fur in it, from the back deck because of the carpet, but the window angle is pretty rough, so no biggy. The top of the window is kinda crappy because of the defroster, but im not complaining, you really have to look hard to see any of it, I just notice it because I am so picky. My other windows are absolutely perfect! I did 30% on the 2 fronts, 20% on the rest. What percentage were you planning on?
