Gotcha, guys... Thank you. They want to give me 8 for free to try but I'm hesitant to install them.
Side note...are plugs easy to change on our cars? My car only have 5000 miles so I haven't changed them yet.
"Upgrading" to a Bosch or NGK better than stockers?
Thanks,
Tom

I just pull off the coil packs. I leave the vc on. It only takes me 25/30 mins. to change all 8 doing it this way. The only time I took off my VC was to change my rockers.

I have just put a set of Pulstar Iridiums in and I can say the car is getting better gas milage. I am getting so far .2 tenths per gallon better milage and the car seems not to need as much throttle to get up to speed. I had Autolite XP-104's in the car before this, they had about 20 - 25k on them. They looked fine when they came out but I have been wanting to try the Pulstar's for a while. I bit the bullet and bought them a week ago. I have only had them in my car for about 4 days. I drive the same way to work and the same driving habits. Their Platinum's are guarentted for 50k miles and the Iridiums are guarantted for 100k. So far I like them. Only time will tell.

i read a dyno post on a ls1 and they tried 10 different plugs. all plugs were gapped to factory specs. ngk tr5's came out on top. ac delco 2nd. not bad for a 100k plug! tr55s will lazt for 25-50k. the other plugs didn't do sqaut. i'll search for the artical.

im thinking of going to track with fresh set of 2 or 3 plugs and do 3 runs each just for basic #'s got the E3's in now. I like them Im getting near 30 freeway mpg out of an A4 (semi built a4) and bolt on car. and it seams happier at higher (wot) than the ngk that were in it before. again nothing to back it up but what i see.lol. still think a new set of plugs @ 10,000 or 20,000 is a good idea. idle seams a little choppy right now though....
