Default My dyno results are in.

Put down 329hp and 372tq to the wheels. With a 224/228/114lsa cam.

Only strange thing is the power comes at 6500-6800rpms and at about 6000rpms there is a weird burp in the power band where i lose about 50hp than it comes right back. I dont know if there is a restriction in the tb or what.

it wouldnt be a restriction or else that dip would have lasted well past 6k and not recovered.

id check your tune..especially your ve tables ..i would think maybe a cell was missed in that range causing the weird drop.

Very nice numbers to the wheels. Dyno chart?

That dip - were you running a log during the dyno session? Wondering if you had some knock that dumped your timing for a sec...

Well that's around 400 crank hp and 452 or so torque coming out of the engine. Not too shabby... That easily should be a mid to high 12 second car with a great launch. Nice numbers.

no the tune is solid, and yes it was logged. It is like its pumping in air than burping the air back out at the moment. And if it werent for that issue the power would continue to climb well above 340hp.
I will post my dyno chart tomorrow

I hope you don't mind the questions:

What lobes did you use? Who spec'd the cam out? Also, what kind of average power and torque did you see? Are you on stock compression?

cam specs are 224/228 duration @ .050" with a 581/588 lift

Golen engine and comp cams speced it out. And my power band is about the same it just shifted up about 500rpms. Compression seems to be lost a little bit. but not a lot.

Those are some pretty good #'s. I would love to see the dyno chart to see the shape of the power band.

I will have to film a sound clip but its horrible, I will rerecord it in a few days. Before i tuned it i raced a 96 ws6, a 02 ws6 and a 2000 formula and i had 4 people in the car with me. All three cars had work and i was pulling on them. Since than i gained 25whp and 50torque so i should be able to run a low 12 if i get traction.

that tq was probably at a low RPM, from the converter flash... i'd like to see what the tq is around 4k, when the converter isn't involved... wonder how long the trans will last shifting at 6800??

Do you think you might have bumped the rev limiter a bit?

POST THE GRAPH, THAT IS NOT NORMAL if your car is mechanically sound and so is your tune, you should not have a 50 hp dip in power. Do you have a copy of your tune? BTW, what was your tuners reason for the power loss? Something sounds fishy.

That kind of torque out of a 5.3 sounds very promising for 350-400 whp depending on how restrictive your intake setup is.

Very nice gains. I'm impressed and am curious to see what happens when you get that little hiccup fixed. I'm sure you can do better then 329hp. Are you running stock injectors/fuel pump? I'm just wondering how much the stock stuff can take.
