New turbo set up! Group buy
Ok so I need to know who would be Intersted in a turbo kit I have no details. Can't get ne thing going till I have some serious buyers here. The more people we get the less it will be. If I hat to guess on cost I'd say about 4kor less.

More details are needed... Is it a complete kit like the Cartuning? I wanna see a prototype and numbers before I commit. Interested of course, because there's Cartuning in my foreseeable? future.

Here is there site www.ipsmotorsports.net the do hella good work. And they do there best to buy USA made only parts.

I have been trying to get ZZP to make one but that looks very bleak at this point. I'd be in for one if I can use it with my headers and it isn't over 4k.

I am having a custom turbo kit put on my car now. It should be done in the next few days. I will post some pics when I figure out how to get them downloaded from my camera. I am using a MP T70 turbo and a 3" downpipe. I have a picture of a rough mockup of the intercooler and piping on my garage page. I'll get more specific details later. BTW it's less than 4 grand!

Hey Guys,
I just saw this thread and wanted to point out that Kevin of Cartuning is using my GXP to develop an affordible non ic turbo kit for the LS4's.
I should have some picture of the mock up for on my facebook page later this evening.

Kevin's a pretty decent guy to deal with and Im certain if a bunch of you approach him on a group buy he will likely do something for you all.
Good luck with your project!
Cheers

Kevin hasnt mention cost yet. But ill speak with him about it this weekend. But I do ask you all to remember Kevin refuses to ship his kits with junk. Cant blame him. I've seen many other kits on the market... crack pipes, poor fitments etc... I dont mind paying a little extra for quality and correct fitments. Kevins tunes are pretty wicked too.

Wont know the final boost setting till it hits the dyno. When I know, you'll know.

Hey,
Ok, I had a chance to speak with Kevin about a group buy. Here’s what I know.
Firstly, Kevin is hopeful to announce later this week about the availability of a stage one non-intercooled kit for us LS4 gear heads. The idea around this is to make it more affordable and scalable so it can be added onto at a later date.
So far the kit has been fitted and we await Dyno numbers this week. Some final tweaking is happening now.
Kevin states in order for this kit to go to market it must make a certain amount of horsepower for it to be viable. This makes great sense to me. And this we wont know till the car hits the Dyno. We are hopeful.
The price has yet to be established as what parts or accessories will be in the final kit has not yet finalized. However I’m sure this wont be a long process at all. I also expect the kit to be quite affordable from what I can see. Also expect this to be a very complete kit. No foolin’ around.
On the subject of a group buy, Kevin is more than prepared to do something special for the LS1TECH gang here. But he just needs to get through all this R&D stuff first.
So, keep your fingers crossed the non ic kit does well on the dyno. Results will be posted on the Facebook page the moment they become available.

Ok so its pool time. I say the LS4 with 4-5 PSI of boost will run 315 to 325 WHP.

I'm certain that much higher boost will be possible if alcohol injection were added, even if there's no intercooler. A good alky kit is around $600 with a progressive controller. I wonder what an intercooler would go for on an LS4 turbo.
