Best tranny fluid?

I've been researching the best ATF to use when I do my shift kit.

Mobil 1's synthetic ATF is not recommended for Dexron 6 applications. They make a Mobil "synthetic blend" ATF for Dexron 6.

Amsoil's is synthetic and is recommended.

Wondering if we should be using synethetic in these things?

I would just go with good ol' GM Dextron VI

Ive checked the R/P stuff....but it sais...
"Max ATF is not recommended or an approved warranty replacement for Dexron VI"....
I guess use at your own risk....if your out of your warranty. Wouldnt want to break that over fluid.

They come with synthetic from the factory and require it. I would also stick with the dexron as Alabama stated.

I’ve been using Valvoline's version of Dexron VI for over a year now with no problems. I actually think the Trans shifts better now…just my two cents worth.
