Been modding the beater since the GXP is down. Fun!
99 Cavalier LN2 5spd optionless car
Painted the gray bumpers flat black
Took off the gay *** hub caps so now I'm just steelies
Gave it a tune up
Installed some racing seats last night and they sit too high Looks cool though!
Installed a new deck with some speakers so now I've got some tunes!
Today I was on craigslist and found a guy who had a bunch of Cavie stuff so I went over there to buy a few things and dude opened up his locker and pulled out a turbo kit! Sold!!! 400.00
My motor has 170k, no leaks or burned oil and the trans was just re done with a new clutch so I'm going to install it real soon.
I know Cavaliers are gay but Its a beater and should be able to stomp a few rice burners now lol.. 200fwhp. ahh... and only 2560lbs
GXP is still in the works!

Can't wait to see the progress on your "Cavalier SS". You realize you're gonna wind up sinking a ton of money into this, right? It starts off cheap enough, then you start looking for ways to make it cool. By the time you're done, you're in it for $5, 6, or 7K or more. Ask me. I built a V8 Fiero!
Anyway, I drive my "beater" in the summertime (see sig), and it already has a turbo on it. It's a rollerskate in the wet and it's awful hard to run high 11's on snow.

I left my memory card at work so I'll have to post some pics tomorrow. Today I fixed the seats so now I'm sitting on the ground. I also installed a molded blk carpet kit. Stock carpet was *** and is heavy as chuck! I probaly ditched about 30lbs or so. The stock seats wern't to heavy, it was the brackets. Soild steel. Got a cool steering wheel and a custom Z24 gauge cluster to install next. Also found some a 14x6 aluminum alloy Chevrolet wheels to replace my steelies, for 75.00. Already painted black too!
The fun thing about this car is that verything is cheap and makes a difference. I really like this car and it's a blast to drive.
Gotta get the turbo installed and tuned.
Someday
I say no, to a body kit and no, to a fart can.

Picked up some Projector-Halos from the guy too! Right now with the price of the car I have 1750 into it. New trans, clutch, starter, alt, batt, frt tires, stereo and speakers, plugs, wires, air filter, oil, and driver side axle. This price also includes the parts I bought yesterday... A whole box full of stuff for 550.00

I didn't put anything down since the new carpet had jute padding glued to it. The stock carpet had jute and rubber matt attached to it.The cabin seems to be pretty quite still. This car has rear heating vents under the seats which i thought was pretty cool, and high tech for a 2dr. I had too modd the hell out of my stock seat rails and aftermarket tracks to get the seats in. I also had to attach the driverside seat belt to the floor pan like the pass side is. The stock belt attaches to the seat track on the driverside. I used a 15mm nut and bolt with 2 thick *** washers.
