well, as for the increase in temp, Im not gonna lose 70hp, idc what anyone says. And a 3.6 is about as far as you can go safely with no kr with my mods on an 06. Theyre just more likely to knock as any other year. A 3.6 on my car is the same as a 3.4 on earlier yrs. Just a freak motor. I got the pcm in like November and was running great. Ive been emailing the company I got it from and theyre stumped too. This has seemed to happen all at once. Its not reallt been a gradual thing. I lost a ton at first, then its seems to be just losing a little more and more as time goes on. As for the guage, I know the numbers arent accurate, but I know my car And know how it drives and can feel a power loss. And when ones car goes from greasing an RT Challenger to barely keeping up with an SRT Neon, one can tell a difference. I know thaht not alot in the Fbody world, but for a near stock V6, its good.

....frustrating isnt it? Im not gonna lose 70hp because its hot outside. Idc what anyone says lol. I can feel a loss, I dont need a guage to tell me. This car has turned into a turd. Its gone from greasing an RT Challenger to not keeping up with an SRT Neon. If the guage takes tq reading from the pcm, them where did that 100lbs or so go? Not cuz its hot. The dealer had the car for 2 days, and tested about everything they could think of and came up empty handed.

do you have a series 3 motor? and i had an 04 comp so you motor should be the same as mine and it run fine with no kr on a 3.4 pulley. what im trying to say is i dont think changing from a 3.8 to a 3.6 is really worth.

yeah I have a series 3, but an 06 comes stock with a 4" pulley. The 06s are different from every other car, and as such the pc is locked out, so Im running an 05 pcm tuned for mine. I know a 3.6 wont do much buit about 15 hp, but its the sum of all the parts that makes the power. I dont wanna rely on a ton of boost without anything else.

and I dont mean to sound like an ***, but Im not stupid. I know its 100plus outside, but Ive had some effin fast cars, this is not not first tinker toy. This is however my first sc'd car and the first one no one has been able to figure out, so stop telling me "Its not that fast, your just used to it." Ive been a member here for a long long time, this is just a new user profile because Ive had a dozen different emails since I last logged on. Ive had 9 or 10 fbodies over the last several years, most well over 500hp, so I know my way around a car.

I've had 3 Grand Prix's and the last one was a 2004 GTP CompG, and I have never heard of any of them coming with a 4.0 pulley. Plus I'm a member of 2 Grand Prix clubs and an Impala/Monte club and I've never seen anyone say that. The only way the make a supercharged V6 faster is to add more boost, but you have to add other mods to eliminate KR because the air gets hotter as it gets compressed tighter.

redhot that was my last car to and it had the series 3 motor with the 3.8 pulley stock. you are right you need the supporting mods to keep kr down that is the reason they are called supporting mods.

yeah Id say I need to keep kr down...if I had any. The mods I have to keep it down Ive listed already. I wasnt sure about the pulley so I did just now go down and measure it. Idk, Im only doing pulley mods a little at a time because I got lots of hp increase with exhaust and a tune. Seems since I didnt do a pulley mod, my car gained about 50 hp, says a dyno, give or take, based on averages. But now its gone. It seems like steroids, good gains at first, but itll all go away. Theres something up. Im pretty sure they did a compression test, but if a cylinder lacking, wouldnt it throw a code?

the mileage has been a steady 21 since I got the car a yr and a half ago. It pulle strong through the lower rpms, but falls off abovr 3500-4k. It also doesnt always wanna shift at the redline, where its tuned to shift. It seems like something is plugged or not flowing right, but Ive Seafoamed it and the dealer just cleaned what I couldnt seafoam (it eats the rotor coatings in the sc'r) Im beginning to think its the ghost of my old Firehawk coming back to haunt me.

You don't seem to have a larger downpipe and high flow cat listed in your mods, and it's possible the stock cat could be clogged plus the stock downpipe is very restrictive. Most guys had to install a cam/headers/intercooler to get maximum power out of the gen III S/C motor. The mods you have are the bare minimum so that's why you aren't seeing maximum power.
