FAST LS1 intake

Man! I would really like to use a FAST intake for this instead of a plain looking LS1 intake. They really do look sweet! I just don't want to spend all that dough and have to modify it to fit. 
Even if you could modify the FAST to fit over the VC, a 90mm, 92mm or the 102mm would flow WAY too much for a 5.3L on a stock or even mild cam. Guys are running *big* cams in 346ci motors with stock ls6 intakes making GOOD power. I just don't see it being beneficial for the LS4.
