FAST LS1 intake
Found a FAST Ls1 intake on the internet today for $600. I have a couple of questions about this. I know there is a post about doing the intake swap (too lazy to look it up) and I just have a few questions to see if it would work. First, what hidden costs will I be looking at in order to make this happen? (i.e. new injectors, fuel rails, ect.) Second, is this process labor intensive and can I do this out of my garage with basic hand tools? Third, what kind of gains will I see if/when I do do this mod? Is the cost worth the gain?

yeah! I really would not want to chop that pretty FAST manifold like he did in that post. Is there any other way to do this without major fabrication work?

I thought that I read a post about a week ago saying that the ls1 was the easier to mate to our ls4's and the ls6 required more fabrication.... Someone needs to come out with intakes for our cars!

there might be a couple different things different but the LS6 will give a bit better flow, an LS1 intake would give u nice gains also. and yes indeed they do, even just a kit would be nice.

Your going to need to search. I have had my LS1 intake on and running, but collapsed a lifter by not turning off the DOD and using a LS2/LS3 valley cover (should have just modded my dod tray). In order to run the std valley tray, std. valve lifers are required as well as tuning.
A FAST intake will not fit IMHO. The LS1/LS6 barely fits. There is just not enough room at the front of the motor.
You can find a LS6 intake for around 300

Cool! So the thread that was suggested by Brian396 is correct that you have to weld and grind the crap out of the valley tray and intake in order for this to fit?
