Turbo Uprising
I had some sputtering issues with meth turned on. I have a Cooling Mist system. I think it just dumps too much into the engine. My injectors were only at 29% duty cycle so I turned the meth off. I got it retuned this Friday and the sputtering issues are gone! The car feels stronger than it did last week with the 370hp pull. Rob at Modular Turbo guesses it's probably in the 430-450hp range. We never could get a good pull this week because of dyno issues. I can tell you the car is a beast on the street though. Friday evening we took it out on the highway. It pulls really hard in 1st and even harder in 2nd. The road was narrow and curvy so I chickened out on making a full pass. Later that evening the engine died. It's probably the fuel pump or a relay. I had the BAP dial maxxed at 50%. It probably should have been at 10-20%. I'll look at it next week. I'm an old college student, work fulltime, married and I have 3 kids. This is the 5th week of classes and I'm already 3 weeks behind from working with the car and I need a few days to tell the wife that I have to spend more money
. Grumpy James did a great job tuning my car and despite the fuel pump or relay giving up, I couldn't be happier. Rob at Modular Turbo is the greatest. I just can't say enough about his customer service and knowledge of turbo systems. He can provide you with everything that you need to build a system for your car. If you are serious about going fast, I would contact him immediately.

What are you using for boost control, the WG spring and manifold pressure, or is there a MBC installed? If boost coming on too early is causing driveability problems, you might consider adding an EBCS system so you can adjust the WGDC to moderate spool up. Some aftermarket units allow you to load several maps depending on driving conditions.
