GM actually DID NOT skimp out on the ignition system in these cars. The stock wires are quite good and usually if you NEED to replace a wire just get the stockers. Spending 150 dollars in wires is just that, wasting 150 bucks to look cool.

It's mostly if you want colored wires to have a pretty engine bay or not

what is so special about the truck coils and witch truck coils are you using

Supposedly the heat sink'd coils are a little hotter than the others.
