Just keep the factory unless they're bad. Other than that you might could try GMPP wires, I think they came on the LS2 cars.

No. I've seen dyno results where cars lost power going to an aftermarket wire.

Just be easy on the boots and you should be fine.

I'm using truck coils, if that question was directed at me.

I'm not saying you're wrong, I just don't see why MSD would sell their wires as an upgrade for something that came factory. I know the factory wires are red, but this is the first I've heard of them being MSD.

If you MUST upgrade, Truck coils. I don't even think those are worth the money though. I didn't have a SOTP difference and there have been a few threads as of late disproving them. But then again, there have been threads proving them.

I've heard nothing but bad out of the MSDs. Including reliability problems to go along with power output. GM actually did a very good job with the LSx ignition.

I ran those for a while, traded the car with them on. Other than having to tie up the passenger side rear 2, they worked well. I dont like to keep plug wires in for a very long time, did my tune up at 70k. The idle was starting to get a hair coarse. The DOD plugs had quite a bit of deposits on them compared to the non DOD plugs, which this all goes without saying.

ya I agree with what everyone has said that stock ignition hardware is good stuff. I know the GM official policy is that the ls4 is a low maintenance engine and the ignition should be fine till 100k, but I just did my stuff at 35k because I'm real **** about my cars. I have to say I notice a slight difference in throttle response and idle quality with the new (stock) plugs and wires.

The Taylor Wires have quite a bit less resistance so for the money I'd say have at it. The passenger side rear wires will need to be zip tied otherwise its good stuff.
