Don't need a new gasket correct? Maybe after the second time. Just reuse the stock gasket

hey man...

nah, no warranty... I had an extended GM warranty, but that was over at 75k miles... I've got 101,000 on my car, hehe....

so, no warranty... was $3,000 outta my pocket...

yes, everything's done and good to go... I had them put a new GM SERTA tranny in it... told them I didn't want them to rebuild mine, and then I have something else go wrong in a month or two and I'd be back in there... just get me the new one... plus this way, it has a 3yr 100,000 mile warranty on it....

she runs STRONG... pulls like a fricken freight-train once again... hehe..

Watch the Tranny Filter/Fluid change if you don't do it yourself...

local dealer told me it would be $250 dollars to do the job...

I almost fell over.

Has everyone just done their own fluid/filter change??

I thought we go until 50-60K on trans fluid according to the manual. I'm at 35,000 now and I don't remember seeing this as something that needs to be done.

I've done one fluid change in the 60k miles I've had the car. I usually have to get the trans rebuilt or replaced before I ever have to change the fluid.

I have the same problems (transmission slipping 1500-1700 rpms and a dealer that told me "car runs perfect, couldn't find anything wrong with it)

100K, 2nd transmission ... probably going to need a 3rd soon. fun fun fun.
