06 monte carlo firewall location

06 monte carlo firewall location hi, im trying to run some power wire to the back of my car, but i have no idea were the firewall is, can someone give me a clue on were the fire wall is at, as well as any tips i need to be aware of.
Is this a joke??? I hope so. If not, the firewall is the sheet metal (wall) separating the engine compartment from the interior of the vehicle (It's the back of the engine compartment!)
Funny...I assumed the OP was asking where he grommet is in the firewall through which you can run a wire. That is actually a very good question, as it's a bitch to find and get to.
However, after seeing the replies, I reread the first post and have decided that one of the following must apply:
1. My original assumption was correct, and that the OP just didn't do a real good job explaining his question.
or
2. The OP is a total retard and has no business even putting gas in his car, let alone screwing around with it's electrical system.
If it's #1, then I apologize to the OP for even suggesting #2.
If it's #2, then I suggest this book for you before getting behind the wheel again:

ok maybe i should clarify. i want to know were the rubber gasket is located were they run wires from the engine bay into the car, no need to rag on me. i was assuming yall would have known what i was talking bout.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure there's a rubber grommet under the dash to the right of the driver, but to the left of the enter console. At least, that's where it was in my Impala.
Can anyone else confirm this location, because that's where I remember feeding my VSS pickup line, but that was nearly 2 years ago.

the fire wall is the metal wall that separates the engine and all of its components from the interior of the vehicle. For example if there where no fire wall you would be able to touch the the engine, exhaust manifold, and probably the tranny from within the inside of the car. If you remove/lift up the carpeting on the passenger side, there is a grommet (Hole) on the passenger side where all the factory electrical wires run through this is the best place to snake the wire through to the engine bay.

i have 0 gauge running in my car but im not using it for anything. When i ran my wiring i saw that opening on the passenger side but its too close to the floor. I used the one on the drivers side that has a lot of factory wires going though it. Just push it aside and slide the wire though or cut a slit and run it through the rubber. if you end up just pushing it aside wrap the wire with some electrical tape to double protect it from the metal. if you want to do ur own grommet then your going to have to get a right angle drill and drill from the inside out.

I'm not to familiar with the opening on the right side/driver but the one on the left side/passenger does sit pretty low to the floor, but the best suggestion i could say is to use a pair of needle nose pliers and reach down behind the rear of the engine and try to grab the wire that's all i can suggest. You should try to snake as much wire through as possible though.
