Default Filter question

Will a bigger filter help ? In first the pic is the filter I have now and in the second pic is the one I want to swap. FYI my cai is not an authentic K&N its one I bought off ebay with a K&N filter at the end. So should I swap it or leave it the how it is. Thanks

Put any clean filter on and get a tune. Who knows lean you are like that.

Unless the smaller filter is restricting the airflow, the larger one won't do anything for you. And from the looks of your mods I doubt that it will.

I went from a large open cone K&N filter in the fenderwell of my G8, to a smaller high flow paper filter in the Volant, and I noticed no loss or gain in power.

nothing you'll probably notice. BTW, his sig says HPTUNED, so he's (theoretically) not lean.

I dont think the smaller one is restricting the airflow but that larger one sure looks good makes the engine bay look more aggressive.

I didnt think so just wanted some feedback where to switch filters before I took it to get retuned on Tuesday.

That's the main reason I went with a sealed intake box over the open cone filter, to keep the intake air temps lower and also to quiet it down some. Plus I feel it looks much better than seeing a dirty exposed filter in the engine bay.
