Also, Brian396 makes the throttle body adapter for very reasonable price! That makes the swap so much easier! Hardest part is the VLOM modding.

I really wouldn't be too worried about the high numbers. The dyno is a tuning tool, and it was used great lol. The gains are what matter in this situation, now get to the track and lets see some real numbers!

Did you use stock injectors and rail? I used LS6 injectors and rail. All I had to do was cut off the rear alt bracket hump. This is becoming a bolt on intake peoples. VLOM tray was by far the hardest part of my swap

Yes stock rail and injectors. Just modified the fuel rail mounting points and used big washers. I did have to grind down one of the runners on the intake just a little bit to get it to go all the way down though..

Also see the ported ls6 intake. It was just cleaned up nothing major.

Is there an LS6 swap "how to" somewhere. I'd like to see what you mean by this VLOM tray.
Now that I have my truck back up and running and it will be spring soon, it will be time to turn my focus back to my car and i was planning a setup very similar to this but keeping DoD is kind of necessary.

You must use the dod tray with dod lifters. Even if you tun out dod, the tray must be used. I tried the ls2 tray with the intake and blew my lifters last July.

I think you gotta look through a few threads. There are a few here that have some detail of modding the valley cover and the fuel rail. Here's a selection:

Ls6 rail, ls6 injectors, pigtail adapters, 1 31/32 freeze plug, Brian's adapter, ls1/ls6 intake, grind down and Smooth the bottom of the intake to fit cover, extend dod connector, angle the opsu tower. Pretty much bolt on now at this point. Vacuum lines are cake. Tuning required

Has anybody here switched from an Ls4 ported intake to either LS1/6 ? I've got the stage 2 and it has held together well with no issues. Car pulls real hard after (never been dyno'd or tuned)

Even with porting, the LS4 can't come close to the LS1. The intake neck on the LS4 is ridiculous.

I was told that the stock ls4 intake opening is a 75mm bore that necks down to a 50mm. Ls1/6 is a true 75-78mm. Also, the intake runners are much shorter compared to the ls1/6.

agreed, those number are DEFINITELY wrong, however your car probably runs very well now.

Yes this was in 2nd gear. The tuner thought it was pointless to run it up to 130MPH every pull they made (they did at least 10 pulls).

As for correction you have to keep in mind it was a cool 55-60 degrees in this dyno room as the door was open during the dyno run. Its cold in KY right now.
So the implication is that these numbers are correct then?

If not, what would be the real numbers?
