AF was almost in the 15s before the tune!!!

Get your s*** tuned after the intake swap! Dotted lines are after being HP tuned, removed torque management completely, optimized for 93 octane, etc.

Also, do you have some pre-LS6 intake numbers or did you do the 1.8's and stuff together?

I did all at the same time, sorry no baseline. With just the parts and torque management removed it was 302 WHP and 357 WTQ. The peak numbers came after the actual tuning. They removed TQ management before they even started tuning.

2nd gear pull? Just seems super high even among full bolt-on with cam cars.

Not yet, I had my son with me (3 year old) and due to insurance reasons we couldn't be in the dyno area.

I have to go get re-tuned after DT finally gets this next group buy going and I will get some vids.

That's way too much torque. Excuse me, that's way too much bottom end torque!

Nice numbers for relatively light mods. What gear were you in on the dyno and do you have any pictures of your engine bay?

Agreed. I'm not doubting it put it down, but looking at my numbers (which have always been high for an LS4 with the same mods) I made 280/300 with headers, full exhaust and a CAI. It's hard to think that I could pick up ~110 ft-lbs with my intake and 1.8RRs.

However, if that's true, and this was in the correct gear and corrected...then I'm going to be ordering my rockers.

What "ported throttle body" did you use?? The stock one???

I was thinking to myself "damn thats all???" then I realized that's 100whp over what I put down stock!!! I'm really eager to do this swap now, but I'm curious as to how much of a difference a LS6 is to a ported LS6.

Also, do you have a write up on how you got everything to work/fit??

No where near that and it was a 2rd gear pull. IIRC

Wow, lots of responses!

Yes this was in 2nd gear. The tuner thought it was pointless to run it up to 130MPH every pull they made (they did at least 10 pulls).

As for correction you have to keep in mind it was a cool 55-60 degrees in this dyno room as the door was open during the dyno run. Its cold in KY right now.

That would explain the high numbers. I would like to see the SAE corrected numbers and also know what kind of gear multiplication was put into the dyno. A lot of people are confused as to the final drive on the 4t65.

Right, and I was very skeptical don't get me wrong. The car feels completely different and sounds amazing, especially at 6000 RPM. The LS6 intake SCREAMS!

After I get some headers and exhaust....back to the dyno again. LS6 intake is the way to go folks. Only 350 bucks and some fairly easy griding and what not.
