WTF is cold? It's currently 58* here in Austin LOL

I'd love to visit an area that has snow or is that cold, but man, I don't know how you guys live in that kind of temp.

It could be worse. I lived in CT and then MA from birth until graduation from college (U-Mass Amherst) . Trust me, MI weather is worse and sucks in comparison to MA. Really.

Buffalo, now thats a whole different story...... Buffalo has the harshest winters I have ever seen.

LOL, my brother went to Nebraska for school, and during the winter he took pictures every day of the temp reading in his car. It's certainly something different, NEVER ever seen a thermometer read -5*.

I know he hated it too, I don't know how you guys do it, especially with windchill or high humidity, seems like that stuff would kill people quick.

I COULD BE WRONG but i thought wind chill only effects moisture...

Yeah, **** you people whining about being cold with temps in the 50's.[/jealous]

We just finished 5-6 weeks of -15 to -20 C, but have a "warm spell" that will give us temps of 1-4 C this week.

Haha Yes we do. Tight Nit Community.

Is it just me or does it not surprise you how many members are on the....well....Eastcoast of the country? A lot of members are from MI, OH, IN, NY etc..

And then we have the Texan's haha....

On a side note, I checked my air filter to do and it was well...rough. Replaced it and the car felt just insanely different. Normally when I nail it on the highway at 70mph I do not have to hold the wheel to hard but, I did now. It could just be the placebo effect but....IDK

First of all we were getting into the -30*s wind chill and I gave up on my truck warming up in the morning. I just grab an extra coat, and take off after a good 2 minutes of the 5.4L engine to get some chance at surviving the drive. IOWA + WINTER = FAIL

Roads where incredibly slick on the ride into work this morning, moving along probably 5 mph and must have driven over some ice, so the whole car begins to shift. I thought, what a wonderful start to the day.

I know on NAIOA, we tried to arrange a MI get together/meet, but failed. Ever try it on this forum?

I would be willing to host it at my office in downtown Lansing (large parking lot) and even supply some lunch and beverages. I did that in the past with my "Z" forum and we had a great turnout. Obviously, we wait until its not so fricken cold out.

By the way, Red06SS, where in MA are you from?

Oh so it’s like that huh? Well I love 93 octane, 105 octane E85, and not having to deal with the smog police.

Metro West? I grew up in MA. First Longmeadow (near Springfield) , then Northborough (just outside of Worchester) , the UMASS Amherst - but I don't know what Metro West is. Sorry.

Metro West is that wonderful term for the area that's west of Boston but not really western mass. Grew up in Concord myself, spent lots of time around Maynard, Stow, Acton, Littleton, Hudson and Marlborough.
