Default Cartuning Kit Question

Soooooo, looking at the differences between the V6 and V8 kits.. Not too much except a few minor things and a smaller turbo.. Would it be possible to grab the cheaper V6 kit, do a little bending and get a custom tune?

just get the non intercooled kit built for the v8, upgrade later.

i have been contemplating the sts kit. its 1/2 the price but not a direct bolt on kit.

I did not see the non-ic kit on cartuning's website... I know it exists but I wanted to see the price of the kit and upgrades for it.

price i paid 4k tax in shipped. no word on the upgrades yet as kevin is hard to get ahold of.

I haven’t used the non IC kit but it looks good. I’ve been on 6 lb of boost and its great on the street. I would definitely relocate the IAT sensor to the intake (I used the MSD one) and if you have E85 close to ya.
Oh and a friend of mine said there’s an article in a magazine this month with a non IC jap turbo’d 5.3. don’t recall which mag?

non intercooled kit runs 5psi with meth. i wanna run 6psi when i take it in to get retuned.
