Default input shaft broke :(

I was driving home from work, got on it and snap! I stopped moving No warning signs nothing. So my question for you guys is, how much work is it to replace an input shaft? Am i looking at having to get the engine removed or can they just slid a new one in. I am hoping i can get it all done for about 1200$ but we will see. I know a whole rebuilt tranny is 3500 but than when you add labor, your looking at like another 3 grand.

Cheers

Going to have to pull the trans man. The input shaft is what what your tq converter slips onto to spin the trans.
Your still running the stock trans? I could have sworn you had it replaced already..

119 is low 11's to high 10's.

No power adder, LS7 swap?

119 traps are not low 11's and high 10's. If you're ripping low 11's or 10's you're usually trapping in the high 120's depending on your set up, high 10's even 130's possibly.

119 is good for a low 12 or 12 flat if he could hook though.

12.7@119 makes sense for a front drive with street tires, I don't get why you guys don't believe that. He has heads, LS6 intake, rockers, a decent size cam and supporting mods...that's a lot-o-powa!

My Z28 used to trap 114 on a 12.9 run with full exhaust and a lid on street tires. You guys must have the old car times in your head, where an auto will run in the mid 11's but trap 108 or something stupid slow.
